Steve Beebe moved to Duncan, Oklahoma in July of 1980 after working with national accounting firms in Colorado and Kansas. He managed the office of a regional accounting firm until 1983 at which time he purchased the office and formed a partnership with another local Certified Public Accountant. Stephanie Kendall joined this firm in an administrative capacity in 1985.
While the oil industry had its ups and downs during this period of time, the firm continued to expand the types of services it offered to the public. Steve Beebe was heavily involved in tax and planning services to the oil, banking and governmental sectors. The firm, as a whole, was growing in the number of small business clients it was serving in accounting, tax and payroll processing services. With the growth and expansion of personal computers and staff, the firm naturally became involved in helping clients with the installation and training in personal computer based accounting programs.
During the 1990's with the rapid growth of technology stocks in the stock market, Steve Beebe became more involved in assisting clients in the selection and evaluation of investment opportunities. This was a natural offshoot of the individual, corporation and trust tax services offered by the firm, as the firm could model these investment opportunities, with tax issues specific to the individual client.
Today, from it's original base in Duncan, the firm serves the needs of clients in states across the nation with tax, financial planning and investment services and serves clients in Southern Oklahoma with retirement plans, accounting, payroll and medical office support services. While trying to remain at a modest size so it can continue personalized service, Steve Beebe CPA/PFS Inc. continues to use technology to expand services to growing clients in new locations.
